A new millenium and a new venue, or at least a return visit to an old
favourite, the Lincoln Arms. The bus seats were no more but the room still
as comfortable and the current management, Fred and June, very welcoming.
And they didn't have any dogs.
The new season started with Graham and Eileen Pratt making their 7th
appearance at Spalding and thus our second most popular guests of all time
after Bill Whaley and Dave Fletcher. The season also featured the second
appearance of Spalding's very own rising star, Miranda Sykes, who played
as part of the Robb Johnson Trio.
Despite
some regulars being away at Sidmouth and elsewhere there was for the first
time ever an experimental meeting in August which was a modest success and
has remained a feature ever since
